Recent Disturbing Developments

Commonwealth Games fiasco - Corruption. Inspite of corruption no action against people responsible. In the name of patriotism, massive coverup and stress on successful completion of Games. Whoever does wrong, they can go scot free or else in the name of enquiry, delays and more delays till the issues fade from memory of the people.

Compulsion of coalition politics - Prime Minister cannot initiate any action against his cabinet colleagues of his coalition partners, whatever shame they bring to the country in the form of corruption, scam, scandals or for that matter any crime. All for survival of the Government and for enjoying the corridors of power. Probity in public gets a severe beating and people of this country look every such thing with noticeable nonchalance.A very honest Prime Minister, we are made to believe.

Misuse of Institutions - CBI, becoming a tool of the ruling party, Appointment of CVC whose credentials are in doubt (as if no other fit person is available in the country to become a CVC)

Bhopal Gas tragedy - Treated disdainfully by the Government.Absolutely no justice ensured for such a crime, where a whole generation of people got affected and the after effects are continuing. Insensitive and callous attitude shown by the people in power. A group of Ministers was constituted recently after two days outrage shown by the media (after court ruling) but what it is doing now, does anyone know ?

Prime Minister's attitude towards Agriculture - Dangerous for the food security of the nation. Instead of finding ways to give a good price to the farmers and give a boost to agriculture, our PM asks people to give up agriculture and go for other works. All in the name of growth. Really do not know what kind of growth he is striving for. It seems our Government is determined to take our country to a chaotic state. He is not concerned when lot of food grains get rotten and many people of this country go hungry. But he will threaten to resign if the nuclear liability bill is in danger. It seems he wants to make a point that nuclear bill is for the welfare for the country and hence it should be implemented whereas poor people of this country are a drain on the country's resources and therefore for the country's welfare, they should be allowed to die. His Government will say it is working for AAM AADMI.

Price Rise - The prices of all essential food items are shooting through the roof. Our Prime Minister and his Government will use some standard words like 'studying and analysing the matter', 'prices will come down in another 5 months', 'monsoon failed and hence price rise', 'people's purchasing power increased and hence price rise', 'Government is concerned and worried about the price rise', 'RBI will not hesitate to take steps to contain inflation', 'more people are consuming food items, hence price rise', 'all over the world, prices of food items are increasing', etc. Government will announce DA hike for its Government Staff as if the price rise affects only them and hence they need to be compensated. In short, we can conclude that  except for the rich and the Government staff, others simply are not in the scheme of things for this AAM AADMI Government. A seasoned economist as Prime Minister and who feels sorry for the price rise.

No voice for the poor - Many times we had come across news reports that cars / vehicles mow down people on the pavement while they were sleeping. In almost all cases, people who drive those vehicles are rich.  Have we ever heard of any punishment given to them for their crimes. So much concern for AAM AADMI from this Government.

Caste Census - Rs.2000 crores as per Government estimates. Government want people to take a pledge for creating a casteless society and a decision is made to undertake a caste census. Our learned forefathers never thought of such an idea. But our more learned leaders of today, think that caste census will ensure that the so called Government's programmes reach the really deserved. As said before, our country is being taken to the path of total chaos.

Let us ponder and think for a moment whether any justice done for the following (list only inclusive not exhaustive) :

1. Anti Sikh riots
2  Bhopal Gas tragedy
3. Bomb blasts in various parts of the country.
4. Gujarat riots
5. Spectrum allocation
6. Commonwealth Games fiasco
7. Cases against politicians and the rich
8. Price rise.
9. Curbing corruption
10. Poor people
